san jose police officers in unmarked cars tried to stop the car but the driver of the car started ramming into two police cars and a parked vehicle. the officer got out of their vehicle and that's when the suspect accelerated towards the officer. out of fear for their lives they shot the suspect and one neighbor heard all the chaos while she was eating dinner. >> we heard a car crash and she looked out the window and it was a car crash and we ran outside and we all of a sudden heard a popping sound and i guess it was gunfire. and they had all of their guns drawn and she was telling everybody, go inside, go inside. [ police sirens ] >> reporter: that suspect was rushed to the hospital where he died of his injuries and there was a passenger with him and he is being cooperative and it is unknown if he will be charged with anything. this happened in an unincorporated area of san jose. they have people being placed on administrative leave, back out here live again this is a meticulous shooting. i do have a spokesperson and we hope to have that for you in the next half hour. janine de l

san jose street sweeper somehow crashed foot that power pole and you can see it is completely down and it's extremely dark out here, traffic lights are out as well as street lights are out. now police and firefighters are called here at 5:00 this morning, sparks were flying because the power pole was down and police are interviewing and determining what caused him to hit the pole as a precaution and police have shut down northbound coleman lanes before pg&e shut off the electricity. electricity has been knocked down to 577 customers in the area and we spoke with a sergeant who tells us what his immediate worry was. >> is a sergeant you were supposed to hear from tells us they were concerned about people in this area initially because live wires were down and they thought a fire was going to happen, firefighters were called here but they left, but i think we have that tape to hear what the sergeant said. >> our first concern because of the live wires and the dangers involved with that we have taken precautionary measures to prevent any further injuries to any parties. >> and the dri

convenience scheduled in the bay area. >>> police in san jose are investigating the third officers involved shooting and it happened in the city's willow. >> when neighborhood. we will tell you what led up to this latest. yesterday it was covered with police cars because the they opened fire on a driver. we are still waiting to hear from police to find out if she has been officially or roasted yet. police -- arrested yet. police say they spot add stolen red car and made a stop. they say when they approached her on foot, she threw the car in reverse accelerated towards the officers and hit him. the officer shot her and hit her at least once. a male passenger was also hit but it is unclear if it was as a result of the shooting. >> finally police put their guns away and they took the girl out, she had bandage on her arm and i don't know who shot but that -- officers had their gun battle. >> last update we received from police, the officer was not suffering from life-threatening injuries and that officers is going through an investigation even though there is no death in this case. we

problems on the bridge. this morning if you are driving in san jose we're off to a pretty good starlet. the weekend weather let's go to rosemary. >>> you can't complain. the only gripe would be no rain. outside of that just a minor cool down in store for your weekend. giving you a look here let's start with the satellite reradar. notice the high clouds continue across the area. patchy fog developing this morning. i don't think it will be as bad as the last couple of days. as you get out to your morning drive i want to back it up here. we have a ridge of high pressure in place. we have that nice arch going on. you don't see it here. we have zonal flow developing. we have cooler air coming into the area. the two combined mixed with the high clouds we will see the temperatures continue to trend downward. with that in mind i'll say we'll remain above average. let's take a look at the fog. i'm seeing it along the coastline. just inside the bay. napa reporting visibility four to six miles so it is out there. although as we get into the 7:00 hour it's not as wide spread. so there is good news

lit up and the shooting where it took place, they are recovering evidence from the scene. san jose police are driving in unmarked cars and spotted a stolen car and tried to stop it. they used lights and sirens so the suspect could tell they were police but that's when they rammed the police cars and a parked vehicle. one got out of their car and that's when the suspect accelerated. >> the officer fleeing for his life ended up crashing into a vehicle. ems was immediately summoned, suspect was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries. >> there was a passenger in the suspect vehicle and he is being treated as a witness and is being cooperative. it is unknown if he will be charged with anything. right now we know they are adult males. we don't know why they didn't want to be stop by police other than the fact that they were driving a stolen car. we will have more information on that and no officers were injured neither were any of the people in the neighborhood. again police investigators from the sheriff's department are still out here and they are interviewing people in the
